Five women at Howard University — Arizona Cleaver, Myrtle Tyler, Viola Tyler, Fannie Pettie, and Pearl Anna Neal — founded Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. on the ideals of Scholarship, Service, Sisterhood, and Finer Womanhood. As the constitutionally bound sister organization to Phi Beta Sigma, Zetas have always moved with purpose and distinction.
